Our most southern round of the Vantage New Zealand Rally Championship,Rally Otago took place on the 10th and 11th of April. Finishing fifth in Group N, sixth overall and the first junior driver in our first rally in our car was a great start. I am very happy with how we ended up and how quickly we were on the pace, setting a third fastest stage time on stage three. read more

Whangarei rally driver Ben Jagger came away from the opening round of the Vantage Aluminium Joinery New Zealand Rally Championship 2010 very happy indeed after successfully finishing the team's new SeedForce Subaru WRX inside the top five at Rally Otago. Otago was Jagger's first rally since moving up into the Group N 4WD class after becoming the Group N 2WD champion last year. read more

Group N 2WD champion of 2009 Ben Jagger will be looking at this weekend's Rally Otago as his best opportunity to get up to speed for the 2010 season after only limited testing in the team's new SeedForce Subaru WRX. "We will use Otago to get some miles under our belts and then at Rally New Zealand we will give it more of a push." says Jagger. A shakedown at the Ruarangi Hillclimb in Whangarei just a week ago was the first time Jagger was able to get behind the wheel to put the rally car through it's paces prior to his rise into the four wheel drive category of the Vantage Aluminuim Joinery New Zealand Rally Championship this weekend. read more

Greetings all,

I am now back on home soil and fairly recovered sleep wise after spending 25 hours on the plane back from the UK, something i'm not looking forward to doing again in a hurry!

Our trip went very well indeed. A bit of an adventure had spending the first couple of days in France seeing all the sights, experiencing a bit of french cuisine and meeting Xavier and the team from R.A.G.T seeds.

He along with co-driver Ben Hawkins secured the points needed after a fourth place in Saturday's leg one at Rally Nelson with one day of the final contest remaining.

Jagger Secures Spot in Rising Stars Shootout

At the Metalman Possum Bourne Memorial Rally held yesterday in the Waikato, Ben Jagger won the points he needed to secure entry into the Rising Stars Scholarship shoot out taking place in November.

Leading the class into the final stage of the one day rally Jagger's Seedforce Fiesta Group N 2WD rally car suffered a punctured tyre just six kilometres before the completion of the event.

Jagger Looks To Strengthen Rising Stars Lead

Using some of the stages from the WRC Rally of New Zealand, this year's Metalman Possum Bourne Memorial Rally is attracting over 70 entries for the Saturday only event.

With New Zealand and Australia taking turns to host the World Rally Championship over alternate years we will not see the event again until 2010 with an announcement pending over whether the event will move from Hamilton back to Auckland.

Ben Jagger with co-driver Ben Hawkins claimed second place at Racetech Rally Wararapa at the weekend all but securing their top slot in the Vantage Aluminium Joinery New Zealand Rally Championship 2009.

But the competition is far from over with the nation's best rally drivers heading to Rally Nelson in September for a two day grand finale.

Ben Jagger won the Group N 2WD class at this weekend's Rally of Whangarei extending his lead in the championship after winning two rounds in succession.

With just two rallies remaining his lead gives him a good opportunity to become this season's champion and with the fast pace he has been achieving along with consistency through the stages, he along with co-driver Ben Hawkins are looking strong.

Jagger Leading the Pack Into Whangarei

This weekend Whangarei driver Ben Jagger leads the Group N 2WD class into the third round of the Vantage Aluminium Joinery New Zealand Rally Championship.

The NAC Insurance International Rally of Whangarei is Jagger's home event on the calendar and after winning the Rally of Otago in May he leads the standings by 24 points over rookie driver Daniel Harris.

Jagger Wins Group N2WD at Otago!
... and moves into the championship lead

Whangarei driver Ben Jagger won the Group N 2WD section of the Rally of Otago at the weekend overtaking Patrick Malley in the standings to put himself into the lead of the championship.

Jagger, starting the first day as quickest in the morning, was saddened to hear that a serious accident put his toughest competitor Patrick Malley and co-driver put in hospital for injuries and pull out of the round.

Jagger Confident of Strong Run at Otago

Whangarei driver Ben Jagger along with co-driver Ben Hawkins expect to have a good strong showing at this weekend's Rally of Otago after improving braking and handling on the SeedForce Ford Fiesta after the opening round at Hawkes Bay.

Although achieving a well deserved second place at the first round of the season, the pair felt they were up against it with the car not performing as well as expected at the Rally of Hawkes Bay.

The opening round of the New Zealand Rally Championship at the Rally of Hawkes Bay over the weekend went very well for Whangarei driver Ben Jagger with a strong second place in the Group N Two Wheel Drive section.

The national championship is divided into Group N Four Wheel Drive, the two wheel drive Ford Fiesta class and an open class...

This year's plan of attack for Ben Jagger and Ben Hawkins in the New Zealand Ford Fiesta Trophy is to learn from their mistakes in their rookie season and improve on their success.

"We plan to put everything we learnt last year into use and hopefully come out as the best this year." says Ben Jagger.

Last year the pair showed many they have the talent to be contenders in the New Zealand rally scene while competing their first NZ Rally Championship.
